It’s getting closer to summer, and I’ve been trying to come up with some easy independent toddler activities to entertain himself. School will be finished at the end of the month, so I’m re-working my work at home mom schedule so that I’ll have some real time to work during the day without childcare (even if it’s just 20 minutes at a time). After attending a friend’s one year old birthday party, I knew that bubble activities for toddlers would be at the top of my list for easy independent toddler activities.

We were at a one year old’s birthday party recently and my 2 year old had so much fun playing with bubbles. They had bottles of bubbles that a few adults were blowing and the kids had these little water guns to shoot the bubbles. It was so cute! They spent the entire birthday party shooting bubbles!
How to Keep Toddlers Busy with Bubbles
I had to wonder if there was a way to set this up at home so that he would play by himself without me having to blow bubbles. I love playing with my boy, but this fun bubble activity would be perfect to keep him busy so I could work on my laptop outside.
So I ran to Walmart to buy the Bubble Tornado bubble machine. It worked amazing right when we took it out of the box, and then it never worked again!
I decided to do some research and find the best bubble machine that wasn’t too expensive, but would last all summer. We ended up buying this bubble machine, and it’s amazing! It can plug in instead of using batteries which I think makes it last longer, although it does have a battery option if you want it to be portable. It’s really sturdy and easy to use.
Fun Bubble Play Even Big Kids will Love
There is just something magical about blowing bubbles. It seems to capture the attention of both kids and grown ups!
My big kid and preschooler already do a great job of playing independently, but they were the ones who actually loved the bubble game the most!
